Simple light conversion and MOT
« on: 07 February 2012, 02:02:14 am »
Hi guys,

I wired both my lights to come on when on dipped with an in line fuse. Now that it is MOT time should intake the fuse out and go back to the normal switching operation ? 1998 fazerFZS600

Cheers

The right hand bulb is an H4 so the dipped beam from it has a well controlled light pattern that, provided the beam is adjusted sensibly, will not cause an MOT failure. Aside from the wiring mod I found it helpful to trim the right-hand side of the locating tabs on the bulb so it can be rotated a little further clockwise, making it less "continental".

You should of fitted the fuse in a position for easy access so it will take you 10 seconds to take it out./ Not worth not doing for a silly MOT fail.

Cheers dudes. Yes fuse is in a good spot. I may also ask the MOT guy for his thoughts. The MOD is very simple for those thinking about it and there was a great guide on the old site
