First run of Spring :)
« on: 18 March 2015, 06:08:11 pm »
It was a beautiful day in the West coast of Scotland and I had my first proper run this year. I took the Stewarton road to Kilmaurs, then on to Portencross via the A78. From there I jollied up to Largs for a coffee at Nardini's. Lots of bikes there  :thumbup . I then headed to Lochwinnoch via the A760, then on to the A737 for the last half hour. Great wee day out.

So...

Let's see some pictures of your first run of Spring  :)

I was born in Largs, an icecream from Nardinis used to be a regular treat for me when my dad was home on leave from the Royal Navy, bit too far to go there for a quick runout these days but one day I will definitely revisit.

Nardinis, been there a couple of times with me brother while the wives went shopping, nice coffee and carrot cake. When I was a nipper and in the BB(Boys Brigade) we used to come over from N Ireland for summer camp to just outside Saltcoats. Happy days. :)

First proper ride out of the year from Inchree, Scotland at the begining of March for a five boys trip away.

One days ride on Mull had to be cut short for danger of getting stuck and stranded in the heavy snow.

Scenery was stunning but temperature was a tad on the chilly side. I'm glad I had heated gloves. Only binned it once riding up an icy fire track. Glad I was on my Katie Em and not Me Julie Fazer.
