London in my cage
« on: 02 March 2015, 10:23:39 pm »
Help / advice needed please
I have a day trip planned soon with Mrs Fazersharp to London and have been told to park the cage at Finchley Central (I will be comming from North M1. )
The carpark is £5.50 all day and I will tube it to central London from there
Does anyone know how busy this station car park would be on a Friday and if it does get very busy is there a time in the morning I should be aiming to get there before its full.
I dont fancy driving around getting lost to find somewhere else
Thanks

If it were me I'd park at a decent overground station farther out. Usually far more parking space at a large overground station and the trains in are quicker if you get the fast direct trains.

Works out a bit more pricey but I think worth it for the agree.

Possibly Watford or St Albans for example.

Thanks I will look into that, there are 240 spaces at Finchley central and then its 20mins train.

Where is your starting point?  Taking a train for whole journey may be a lot cheaper if travelling outside peak hours.  If up the M1 then there are a lot of fast trains into London Stations.  York for example is only 2 hours by train from London.
