Rear Shock
« on: 27 February 2015, 05:36:19 pm »
Hi, does anyone have any experience of Hagon vs Betor vs YSS shocks.
Hagon is around £300 the YSS a little less but with damping adjustment,
And the Betor is just cheap at around £180.

You could say that anything will be an improvement on my 80,000 mile original
Shock. ☺

Could be so, I have nothing to compare it to.
This is why I'm thinking to chuck on the cheapest as if mine is that bad anything will still be a revelation.

Hagon are decent shocks- better than original, the Hagon has damping adjustment too, just one adjuster to change both compression and rebound!
A choice of the three you've said I'd say go with the Hagon, you'll be very happy, if you have more pennies then nitron are better still!

Just to throw in a wildcard, ive just bought a shock from the shock factory for my fazer,,first impressions are good,i havent set the sag etc i just went out on the factory settings (24 out of 44 clicks of adjustment) a spin. The shock damping is lovely and fluid on the shitty pot holed roads here on the isle of wight and nicely controlled in its action, overall im impressed, the build quality looks good, the machining to (my uneducated eye) looks as good as the maxton shock on my r1,though i did buy that secondhand,it doesnt look too blingy, the springs red colour is quite dark and understated. .I dont spend 350 quid very often but it would seem good value and any servicing that that a shock factory shock needs is done on a sameday turnaround, and you get the spring to suit your weight/riding needs plus the c-spanner for adjustment and delivery is included in the price.
