Think I am looking at a new battery, what would you fit. Bike is an 09 FZ1 14k miles.
It holds a charge for about 7/10 days so think it is on the way out. It charges up okay giving a reading (chinese multi meter) 12.6 volts, with engine running think it is about 13.4 volts.

I've heard lots of good things about the Motobatt battery but having looked at them on ebay the terminals look different to the ones on my current battery. Do the battery leads fit okay or do they have to be modified ?

They're a straight fit, you can fi  the terminals either way at the assembly before you fit them in plus you dont need any of the spacers.

I got mine dead cheap on ebay because i went by serial number and the ad was for a suzuki bergman and something else with no mention of it being for an FZ1.

Ill see if i can trawl my ebay history for it.
