R1 Fork Conversion
« on: 30 January 2015, 10:46:25 am »
Thinking about converting to R1 forks as I've heard quite a few on here that have done the conversion.

I have Race Tech springs fitted in my standard forks and the difference over standard springs is quite good.

Interested to hear how much better this modification makes to handling and breaking etc.

There are a few on eBay for sale of various models and additional parts.

Can anyone list the model of forks required and any other parts that would be needed to complete the job.

Cheers in Advance

Cheers....just read it....twice......Sounds like quite a bit of work for both versions. If I was going to do it I think I would probably prefer your version although there is quite a lot of parts to source.....I take it the fitting is easy enough if all the correct parts are there.

Yes easy bit is to collect bits over time I'm currently building nick crisps front end so this will fit in easy
The awkward bits are drilling out old lock and sorting brake lines as bar combinations vary
