Has anyone fitted a set of flat or flatter bars to a faired Fazer?

I was thinking of doing this myself, I want to be lower down and I feel that I need to be slightly further back in the saddle. It almost feels like I am sitting on the tank at the moment.
Please let me know if the flat bars would change any of this or if they would just pull me further forwards.
Thanks.

I was thinking about a set of Renthals: I've got a set on my Bandit, they are not flat but they push me forward an inch or 2 which is better on motorways.

As I'm selling my bike, I've taken the FZ1 bars off, which you can have for £15 if you like..

I'm in Winchester and commute the M3 daily and M4 weekly.  Let me know where abouts in 'Berkshire' you are and I can hopefully collect.
