Ivanising in April 2015
« on: 14 January 2015, 05:06:08 pm »
Hi all :)

I've had a few enquiries over the past month asking when I'll be back in the UK with my 'Ivanising' toolkit, so I figured it was time to gauge interest more widely.

Subject to sufficient demand, I hope to make a visit during the period 23 - 26 April.  I don't have a lot of flex in my personal schedule this year but with luck these dates will work for most of those on my reserve list.

Venues are entirely open at the moment but Bristol looks a possibility for at least a couple of owners.

If you are interested in finding out more about 'Ivanising' and/or would like to provisionally book a slot in the programme, please drop me an e-mail (mikegreatorexAThotmail.com) and I'll get straight back to you.

Please don't use PMs because I will only ask you to resend via e-mail ... it's easier to coordinate all the details by e-mail as the cunning plan takes shape, you see. :)

Cheers!

Mike

..another note from a previous 'customer' - it's well worth the effort!

Hello Mike! Hope you're well?

Steve
Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."

Hello Mike! Hope you're well?

Steve

Doing great, Steve - thanks.  Thanks, too, for the thumbs up. :)

I've had a few replies overnight, which is very encouraging.  I need about 8 - 9 bikes to make this a feasible trip so hopefully some more will sign on soon.

Hi Mike
I certainly would like to get my bike Ivanised in your Bristol location - I live in Swindon just down the M4.  I have a 4 degree ignition advancer in mined - do I need to re-instal the standard one either before or after?
This is as young as you're ever going to be!

ivanised bikes are fine with advancer.

I've got 8 positive replies so far which is very encouraging.  Owners from Bristol, Swindon, Redditch, Bootle, Wakefield, London and Stamford.  I'm sure I can stitch an itinerary together which covers everyone and I still have a few spare slots available.

Don't delay, though - the programme is filling up quickly! :)

Hi Paul - that's very kind, mate ... thank you. :)

I'll see how things pan out with the route plan and timetable and let you know.

Hope all's well with you and yours. :)

A little bump from another Full Montied member. definately worth every penny, totally transforms the throttle response and power delivery. If anyone is considering it I would definately recommend it, and Mike knows the process inside and out ;)

Full Monty is the only way to go, much better than the Slip On version.....I was pleasantly surprised at the difference

The main difference is modifying the air box and porting the inlet stubs, K&N air filter (although Scottish foccers got a pipercross variant) and the needles and jets are different.....I got an extra 6 bhp on mine and it's very noticeable

The schedule is coming together nicely and I have 11 names on the list so far.

I'll be firming things up in the next few days so if you're thinking about this but haven't contacted me yet, don't delay any longer. :)
