warm starting problem?

stopped my egine t the lights to ay only to notice it takes two turnovers to fire the engine hen its hot. previously the bike wud fire on the button. cold starts are on the buttom. seems strange it not doing this previously

Probably a blocked air filter.

Get the filter out and check for obvious blockages to the intake. If it hasn't been replaced for a while then it's worth just doing that. If it's a K&N then give it a proper clean.

on the way home it fired straight away.

think it was due to me running heated grips on full power (57w) along with headlights

I run my grips on full power with headlights though and it doesn't cause a problem, that should be OK.

If the engine wasn't turning over as quick as it should of then perhaps you are in need of a new battery and the grips etc are just not helping matters?

Ah well, as long as it runs OK then not a blocked filter I s'pose
