I need some fresh air and fazer time....anyone fancy a mini meet at the ace cafe anytime between now and sun 4th ?

Been thinking of heading down to H's this morning, but just a little concerned about icy patches in sheltered areas. Ace cafe means a long run on A/M40, which sounds to me like a torturously cold run. Getting old I suppose $:\$

Wednesday or Thursday looking favourite at the moment - a little bit milder, perhaps not as harsh a frost overnight. Back to colder again on Friday (according to the BBC forecast).
It'll still be a bloody cold ride on those days, but maybe less risk of the slippery stuff.

Yep, thinking thursday, new years day, done this before on NYD great way to start the year, been meaning to go to the london motorcycle museum for a while, its just the other side of RAF northolt on the right, might do at the same time.....anyone interested in meeting at the ace on NYD at say mid day ?.......weather permitting of course

I may be in, whether will play a big part though.....Whether my bike will start, whether I get too drunk the night before, whether I can be arsed, whether I can still fit into my leathers, whether they've moved the Ace Café to somewhere a bit more interesting and of course, the weather.

Well, it's a crap ride for me, especially in the cold, but getting a bit frustrated myself, so I might well be up for it. At least the A/M40 should be ice free, just got to worry about the little lanes to get to it!

If some people make the effort then so will I ......12 on Thursday sounds good to me. I was up the M40 to birmingham today then up to Derby and back to londinium on the M1 and not a hint of ice.

See, that's one of the few things I miss about London. Out here in the middle of feckin nowhere, to get anywhere from this little one-feckin-shagged-out-donkey-town, it's country lanes, much colder than in town. So ice is a problem any direction I go in. It's not far to the A40, just dodgy getting to it. But Thursday should be better. I'll come along.

I'm working on Thursday so I can't make it this time. I went out for a bimble on Saturday and came home after about ten miles. Good news is red says the shortest day has gone so it's getting warmer. Happy New year gents and ladies.

Going to try and make this but starting to come down with sore throat and sniffles.
Will see how I feel in the morning but tbh can't see it happening as I'm still in night shift mode.
