In fairness, their job isn't about their sparkling personality, it's not like they are TV presenters or the like.
Add to that everyone wants a piece of them, plus their money attracts wrong'uns as well, so I can fully understand them keeping themselves to themselves even though that's not really what the public want.
I'd imagine having such an intense and focussed job adds to the way they are as well.

Well looks as if I have upset the hooters on the forum then. Obviously the only jock with a sense of humour , well from Glasgow anyway is Billy Connelly.

Here is me with the surname McColl and me granda McColl was from Greenock, and I have two fannies baying for me blood.
must be weather up there in the frozen north makes them grumpy foccers and sense of humour.
I knew if I cast a line someone would bite. Surprised though they were elder statesmen on the forum though.

Having been at Prenton park a few years ago with my 11 year old son and watched how Rangers fans behaved during the match against Shelbourne, also how well they behaved in 2008 in Manchester diffo one section from that city are excellent ambassadors and portay Glasgow in a very good light.
I will say though that the show Glasgow put on for the commonwealth games was terrific.
As I said in my last post you are taking this to a personal level.
