Same thing has been said for years though, hence the term UJM (Universal Japanese Motorcyle).
Not a recently coined term.
There are very few bikes that catch my eye immediately, and I think, yeah, that looks great. But I've bought a few down the years that have instantly done it for me looks-wise. Others grow on me after a while, and some look better in the flesh than in photos.
You'd need some manufacturer to discover something entirely new in aerodynamics or something for them to produce a really different looking bike. Niche market models are all very well, but tend to wind up being too expensive to produce, and hence sell, to be worth the investment.
