FZS600 AutoTrader AdvertI've decided to sell my FZS600. It's been a good workhorse and has served me well for the last 6 years however, it needs some work and money put into it to get it shipshape again and as we're selling our house I just don't have the time or money to get it back on the road. Plus, when we move and I finally have a garage I want a new bike. I've priced it at
£550 for a quick sale and to have enough for my wife and I to pay for tandem parachute jumps next year to celebrate our 5th anniversary.
A few things of note:
I dropped it about 5 years ago and broke the original nose fairing. As I couldn't source a blue one for love nor money I decided to just get any colour and spray the whole bike black, I did everything but the tank as you can see from the pictures.
May 2010. I was knocked off at very low speed. I was waiting to turn into a side street however, the numpty who wanted to pull out of the street decided not to wait and hit me side on. My right foot took the impact and the bike fell onto the left side. My left leg took the brunt of the fall though I did manage to snap the clutch lever (replaced) and scratch the engine casing. I had the bike checked over by a local mechanic who could find no faults other than what I've mentioned.
It's the box-eye model and has had the light modification done so both lights illuminate.
It has a Delkevic can on it and has passed several MOTs with it installed. I don't have the original can.
It has a donor engine installed that has covered roughly 15000 miles. It's fair to say it's coming up to service time (carbs etc) but was running fine, if a little lumpy at low speed, when I put it into storage about a year ago.
The original engine is included in the sale. It's covered roughly 35000 miles and it was replaced due to the drive shaft being stripped when the sprocket was changed.
There is no battery. I foolishly left it in the bike when I put it into storage and it won't charge.
I have a spare rear wheel that I can include in the sale, though please be aware that it still has the original brake disc installed as one of the bolts snapped when I tried to remove it.
The bike will also be sold with a top box and mount, and I also have dominator headlights and mounts if you have the urge to street fighter it.
For most of its life it was stored outside under two covers. For the past year it has been in my father-in-law's garage.
It has a belly pan, hugger & radiator guard fitted.
***The bike is in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear***
Any questions, please ask.
Thanks, regards
Carl
