Trying to help a friend who transplanted a 600 engine into his quad. His dash is after market.
He reports that his engine is always limiting at 11500 u/min. As far as I learned the red line should be expected near 12700. And the signals from neutral, clutch and speedo play a role.

Is anybody here who can tell me more details about what happens inside the ECU and a possible remedy?

Sounds like the dreaded speedo drive fault!
