Tyre pressures BT023 can this be right?

Sorry it got messed up, but you can see that apparently Bridgestone recomend 36psi front AND rear for the bt023's

I've always run 36f/40r on any tyres.
Depends on luggage, passenger, top box and obviously your own weight.
I've always found tyre pressures to be a personal thing once all these things are taken into consideration.
Handy to know though as I just had a new BT023 fitted on the front, I have a T30 on the rear.

I've been running at 36/42, and it has felt a little wobbly - just looked at the tyre wall - turns out 42's the max cold pressure.


Thought I'd ask before I reduced it to 36

I run 42/33 and am happy with the bike. Link shows UK recommendations but try planting the bike when going into a corner by counter steering and at the same time push down on the foot peg on the other side eg Left corner push on left handle bar and at same time plant your foot on the right foot peg.

How's that going to plant your weight mate - you're not bracing against anything with your back so the same amount of weight is still going through a fixed point on the bike?

Just got this from the bridgestone site for 023s on FZS600 2002. That was so obviously a mistake in your print out, why would all the rears be 2.9 except one.

I seem to recall the handbook for the FZS says 32 Front and 36 rear but as with all things, the tyre manufactures have other ideas. Well, physics has a part to play. Each tyre is rated for a certain load at a certain pressure with a maximum PSI for each carcass. There is a table somewhere where you can do the calculations for the actual pressure that should be in each one.

Personally, I found 36f/42r to be good for me when using BT021's but them I am slightly heavier than a racing snake.

32f/36r was probably great for the little Japanese fella who did the test ride.
