Part 2

Managed to get tent and kit packed by 8am this morning, and then over to the West End Café again for breakfast, where I did see not one, but two (yum!)(I thought everyone in Wales was supposed to be skint!):

Riders reported no part throttle snatchiness, and said although awesome, were very easy to ride (well, they would, wouldn't they, having shelled out the better part of £14k  :rolleyes ). So as a parting shot, I said I'd wait til they sold them and pick one up second hand, after they'd paid for the depreciation  :lol

That morning's line-up:

And then on to Llyn Brianne:

From there, it was over to Tregaron, and on to Devil's Bridge - (rant) and while we're on that subject, how is it they get to charge you to go and look at a natural feature of the landscape?!  :grumble
Then the Cwmystwyth road to Elan Valley. See Noggy, what the Arch needs to really look good is a yellow bike  :lol

Part 3

Always  :D :

And so on to the Elan Valley:

You may just spot a black dot of a car on the road here; don't know what it was, but it looked sleek and expensive, and sounded the nuts!:

Nope, no idea what was going on:

And general Elan shots:

Next up, Llyn Clywedog:

Part 4

Beautiful scenery, fantastic roads, great weather; what more could you want?:

Hey, I can see Snowdon from here!:

Funny, I could swear I can smell the sea. Where the hell am I now?!:

So I'd gone further north than intended, and ended up at Aberdovey on the Dovey Estuary. Well, easiest way back is via Tal-y-Llyn:

...past Cadair Idris, and back down to Machynlleth:

Then it was head south once again by that brilliant Newtown/Crossgates road, and A44 home. 460 miles for the weekend. Now, where shall I go next weekend...I know!  :lol

You could be right Nick. I also passed, going in the opposite direction, 4 cars. Sorry, don't know my cages, but one was white with race numbers, sporty looking, can't remember the middle two, followed up by a blue Scooby. The helicopter flew back and forth all the while I was in the Elan. The cars didn't look to be going very fast  :lol

Ace pics Nick 8)

Another Top Gear shoot spotted by the foccers (there was a video by a member in London a while back that spotted them) :)

& nice line up of bikes at Llandovery.......I've seen that white triumph there before, old guy..tennis ball over the top yoke nut with a sponge or something stuffed in it and a racing slick rear tyre.

I still haven't been up the black Mountains on my bike.....did some orienteering on them in the rain once but that was crap....much better on the bike I reckon.

Black mountains roads, from Abergavveny to hay on Wye, small road across the top past Hay bluff, nice scenery for a nice day.

I stopped at the Oasis, Abergavenny on my way in on Saturday, and got chatting to a nice ol fella, must've been in his 70s. He had textile kit on, so I thought, must have a BM GS or something. Nope! Ducati 999  :lol  He pulled up later that evening at Llandovery - looked like he was a little uncomfortable, John Wayne walk when he got off. Kudos to him though.

That western Black Mt. road is a treat, but this time I also started to explore a couple of little side lanes that come off it, just for the views. Still better surfacing than crappy English roads! Had to be careful on all of em though - many sharp bends with steep drops and no armco  :eek
