comfy saddlle ??
« on: 13 August 2014, 11:59:55 pm »
mabey this has been cover before "oops if it has" but have people found the comfort on the first gen fazer bloody uncomfortable after an hour say ??? well mine bloody was so ended up chatting with a local saddlle upholsterer   ( jim savage in cork )  and he told me about a section of foam that needed to be cut out by ahem the crack of yer ass say 50 mill wide and 130/150 mill long and that area filled in with memory foam, apparently the long hauling yanks came up with it ,but i was doubtfull to say the least but i had had enough something had to be done ,well after it was done i found meself racking up the miles in a lot more comfort,so much so i done 750 miles round northern ireland in two days now thats a record for me ,so suprisingly there is a small fix to a big problem for me anyway ..hope that bit of info helps someone :faz

tbh the cover went back on just like it was before ,didnt get a chance to take one during the only way you can tell is by pushing down the centre and you can feel the softer foam in the section ,ill try get onto the guy see has he the section that he cut out, give you a better idea bout the size were talking about

When I recovered my latest seat I found this vid online, it has abit about softening the foam which I thought was a load of rubbish to be honest...

I tried it and it does seem to work. Infact another member on here said it was like sitting in an armchair but I don't know about that after all he did sell his Fazer to become a Triumph owner.

I hate the position of the slope, and am going to get it modified to suit my arse. I'm tall, so could do with adding height too. It might end up much higher and flatter. The seat that is, not my arse.

Airwolfs are the mutts and you can take em from bike to bike. You can vary the pressure on really long rides between stops to to stop your arse setting in one position, like they do..
You can use it to raise your height and take the slope out of seats too

Lot of money, but once you've got it you've got it
