« on: 17 July 2014, 09:19:50 pm »
Been really hot here in south bucks the last couple of days, my ride to work is ,30mph, through town, rush hour and ive noticed my fan cutting in as you would expect.i wear jeans when riding to work and have noticed as soon as the fan kicks in the air is directed straight to my lower legs, dont notice it when I have my gore tex on....makes it a bit uncomfortable on the way home.....so is it just me ?,

Not just you, it's hot for everybody  :sun . Due to an old leg injury I have my footrests considerably more forward than the normal position and this puts the right leg alongside a warm part of the engine. I've noticed recently that  leg getting more sweaty than normal in the hot weather  :\ .

I noticed this also and it does not happen on the 600 as the fan rarely comes on. It is worse since I removed the AIS as it has an unrestricted air flow over the top of the engine.

It is nowhere near as bad as the 2003 FJr1300. I rode one back from Spain a few years ago and it was torture in stop and go traffic outside Madrid. The newer ones appear to be less and a bit more like the Fazer 1000.
