Never again, Fecking Spanish twats, Having bought an FZ1 in the UK from a forum member, no beef with him or the bike. Decided to keep myself legal out here in Spain. The authorities are getting tough on foriegn registered cars/bikes etc! out here. But are they taking the piss. I have just completed putting my FZ1 on spanish plates. Total cost €918.00 + €514.00 to have the lights changed. I have been told the bike will increase that amount in value as bikes are expensive out here.
All I can say is thank fuck I got a mint condition bike at a decent price.
Should have said fuck it and just run it on Brit Plates. Upside is I can ride out here nearly 365 days a year and the beer is cheap.
Really pissed off all the same, any sensible country would use there common sense and let you register it for a reasonable cost so as to encourage others to do the same. if they did that they would generate income from there version of road tax.
