BBC iplayer
« on: 17 January 2012, 10:57:39 am »
Got a problem with BBCiplayer, downloaded their latest version and since then every programme I download wont play as I get the message
"Licence Pending" Emailed iplayer website and eventually got a reply telling me to look in FAQ`s etc (which I had already done) Uninstalled Iplayer and adobe air then re-installed them both but it didn`t make any difference. BBC dont seem very interested in this problem, any one got any suggestions on what I can do to solve it.  :pc

Only problem I have had with the Iplayer is when I set the date on the laptop to either the year 1911 or 2111 (cannot remember which now) rather than 2011.  That screwed up some permission or other.

I watch through the Wii or on my phone mostly and, as of yesterday, they were both working.

I use it through the Wii, much better.

don't both with the BBC iplayer - the DRM is excessive (30 days to watch and then deletes after 6 days!!). Google get_iplayer - it's an open source version that isn't screwed by over the top DRM. I.e. you can wait 2 months then watch your program if you like.

Windows download:

I use it on windows and linux machines.

Looked on the iplayer website yesterday and they have acknowledged that there is a problem so maybe fixed in the near future :\
