Bollocks about the dogs,,,what about my friggin BEES
« on: 29 May 2014, 08:53:44 pm »
About a month ago we could hear this strange animal noise all night,,,sometimes, alot of times,,,we go used to it.

well it got worse and worse,,then we noticed a bee buzzing noise agianst out bedroom ceiling.
so , yes there is a Bumble bees nest up there,,we can spot them going in and out under the eves,,llittles tiny ones, cute really.

so we put up with it for a month,,now there are friggin huge bimble bees going in the eves,,and also lots of the tiny ones.

THe buzzing is very loud and annoying,

So i went up the loft with torch and tennis bat,,,looked around ,,nothing,,but i noticed the cieiling board are not plasterboard but a kind of soft fibre board.and if you touch it , it passed sound well.

It got worse , i git the step ladders and put my ear up to the cieling near the corner,,hell !!!!!!!!!! :eek ,,you could hear thousands of little buzzing bees. :'(

They are in and under the fibreglass insulation...

So i purchased some wasp killing powder and taped a pipe to it and went up there,,, :evil
Crept across the beams,,and half covering the torch beam,, i wiggled the pipe through the fibre glass, and puffed the powder into and under the insulation,,,well what a fucking noise,,,sounds like a million bastards,,,none showed above the insulation,,so i injected in two more places....and got the hell out of there.

in the bedroom, the noise of the buzzing was amazing..

two days later,,,still a bit of buzzing,,i am the thinking maybe they are dying,,i git the step ladders up agian,,slapped the ceiling, making the bees bounce,,,fuck,,they went mad again,,,still thousands there,,so tonight i have been up there again,,,puffing powder under the insulation,,,hell thenoise,,not one be came up through the insulation,,,they are in it,or under it..

we will wait and see ifthey slow down,,i am off to buy a different product..

I might set up the camera and just pull the insulation up,,lol,,,hell you will not believe the noise.

People are worrying about the lack of bees, can't you find a local beekeeper to take the swarm off your hands?

Doesn't matter, ALL bees pollenate, which is the concern not honey production, you should try to save them.

You are not allowed to kill bees they are protected.  If you call the pros they will take the queen and the rest go away. Find where they got in and seal it, everyone happy.
BTW they all die every winter cept the queen that why you only see little ones at first.

Round here Bee Keepers will remove em for free.  So I'm told.
Yup protected species now.

I've had a wasps nest every year since, one year two of, I moved into this house (2010), fortunately spotted em early each time.
They keep going for the same spots, so I'm gonna treat the shed and the house vents every spring regardless each spring.

Thats the best thing to do, this year we have a hive in the cavity wall at the front of our house and a local bee keeper advised this.

Umm maybe not then.

Some very limited but apparently essential protection for the Honey Bee though courtesy of The Scottish Government.

I think there is general concern about Bee numbers though.

They aint honey bees, they are Bumble bees,,, bloody noisey ones,,,This old house has big biggaps all around the eves everywhere,, so absolutley NO chabce of sealing up an entry hole,,

wasps,, well i am an expert with them,,,have had to be pretty devious with them clever bastards,,they leave guards in the entrance, and chase you if you go within 10ft..i have been down a ladder at 20mph with them on my shirt,,c**nts

The bees are getting quieter now,,not sure if i will manage to kill them.i hope so.

The only real way of getting rid of bees is the old fashion way. You need to fill a small bowl (breakfast size) with a solution of warm water with sugar dissolved in it. This needs to be placed in direct sunlight early in the morning so the bees can smell it first thing. You will notice that to start with, only a few bees will feed from it, but within around 3-4 hours most of the nest (bumble bees dont swarm) will congregate around the bowl. You then need to resonate with the bees, this is a simple process, if you listen to the bees you will hear that they all hum in time. All you need to do is play music within a close proximity that matches the bees hum. It has been studied by experts and apparently the best song for this is "Day trip to Bangor" by Fiddlers Dram.
Once the bees start doing the waggle dance, they become hypnotised and completely under your control. You then need sing the song quite loudly while skipping around the garden in your underpants, the bees will follow you, buzzing along in time, and you can lead them away from your house to a place of your choosing.

 Hope this helps!!! :)

Who were those fuckers a few months back, wanted anything other than talk about bikes banned from the forum?

Twats, you'd have deprived us of that gem from doddsie (amongst many others), long may serious and contemplative discussion about random shit continue!
