Quick Q regarding Ivans FM & Akrapovic

Thinking about swapping my Akrapovic slip on for another brand, a much shorter stubby GP style end can, it may be a tad stupid a question but as I'm not that hot on fueling and fine fettling of carbs and jets etc, will it foul the settings that have been made to accommodate the Akrapovic?

Mike would be the man to ask that, but from my understanding it will be fine.


Short stubby can will be much noisier than your Akrapovic and maybe lose some of the mid range power. If you put the baffle in you will lose some top end as well.


Apart from looks its a bit of a backwards step. BUT its only going to be 4 or 5 BHP here and there, which you might not even notice.
