can anyone help speedo stopped its 02 no cable just wire going to wheel took seat off check fuses ok check wire coming out of loom power there  must be wire from loom to wheel or something in wheel  everything else works rev clock

+1 on the speed sensor. They can be replaced, or if your a bit ingenious, you can rebuild it out of resin/hot glue, araldite. Did that to one of mine, and it's still there now years later.

It's number 15 they're on about, if the tabs aren't located properly in the slots it's possible to tighten up the nut on the front wheel spindle and they just break off.
Either that or they just break through wear and tear.

bought 2nd hand speedo sensor worked great for mile or 2 then sarted working then stopping did about 40 miles started working when I nearly home tookfront wheel of had a look 2 lugs are fine wire seam ok took it out for ride stopped speedo went crazy going up to about 70 when not moving now just jumping about help

Check the speedo cable where it runs past the front brake. I routed mine wrong once and it wore through the insulation and when the edge of the disc contacts the metal conductors you get crazy speed readings

Sounds like a short in the wire- examine the whole length- mine was rubbing against the fork leg grounding the wire which makes the speedo go mad!
