I got an RVF swingarm for a project but quickly lost interest and sold the arm because I found the following:
Wheel choice is limited
Wheels were expensive - you can find normal race magnesium wheels like Dymag, Marvic, Marchencini etc for the same cash as you will fork out for a heavy std SSA road wheel (unless your lucky/know someone with one etc but I guess if you have time on your hands then one will come up for the right money) - some did come up but were 18" not 17
Unless your not bothered about wheel pattern you need to buy a matching front which generally means a 6 spoke honda wheel - not really a look I was after personally)
Everything seemed to be hassle with it, brake caliper, sprocket with right teeth for the engine etc
I have seen people put Honda Civic car wheels on the VFR swingarms though, some looked pretty trick - might be worth looking at? Mine was the single nut RVF one though so wasn't really something I could do.
In the end I decided that a singe sided arm was hassle and a cliché on a project bike so I got the Fazer and put an R1 front end on it.....
