Plug cap resistances, book says 10k, I've got 3 caps at 8k and one at 14k

Coil secondary resistance at 14k, book says 12k to 18k, so ok there, primary by the book is 1.87 ohms to 2.53 ohms and I've got 6.5 ohms per coil, so matched but way out.

Checked the plugs, all looking as they should, and the gaps were all at 0.8mm, book says 0.6 to 0.8 so closed the gap to 0.7

Another run after all checks and still the same.

Tried my last option, plug caps, from the checks, one was high resistance anyway, so thought it might be an idea for a new set, originals at £50 a go ish and none on ebay got me looking about, saw that the old Honda CX500 caps are a good replacement and available from M&P, as M&P are 20 min away, off I want, they had 1 in stock, buggerit, the very nice staff dug out a NGK book and suggested these...

Not impressed with the colour as I've resprayed my bike black (keeping the decals etc) and a few blue bolts for the screen, but red? Anyway, who am I to be fussy, I want a bike that runs, these do the trick, the screw for the HT lead is deep inside but the HT leads are long enough, they are totally waterproof, so I kept the original caps for the lead end anyway and pushed them onto the ends, perfect fit and not taking any chances with water....

One ride later

Big cheesy grin :-D

Happy Easter everyone :-)

£20 sorted it, but, as mentioned in another comment on here, well worth going over the whole lot, best service in years :-)
