That is VERY nice, is it a fairly solid construction? (I.e. Not too bendy) I've got an eBay £24.99 jobby on mine and it's okay from a distance but close up its pretty crap, very thin SS which makes it a pain to clean and didn't even fit very well in the first place.

Looking to change to a Beowulf one or similar when the pennies allow but they are @£60 I think

Anyway, nice job and those pipes look great as well!

Many thanks.. Done thousands of miles on various bikes all weathers.. Always looked after me kit.. It does get used but not so much come the proper crappy days

This is 2nd attempt.. 1st one made didnt have the smaller vertical bits to the construction..

The only reason i have held off is they all seem crappy and dont fit well

Thanks all for the positive comments.. Looked at lots of radiator covers on the market and wanted a far simpler 1 off design so I came up with this.. I will speak to Derek to see how viable making more would be, as other rad covers are so readily available on the market for reasonable enough prices.. John

Yep I want a nice and simple neat looking one like yours, there was a thread on here not long ago and it seemed as tho done were a very good fit for some reason.

Pipes were sprayed with several layers good old B&Q Barbecue paint approx 6 months ago.. I have also fitted a small mudflap to the front mudguard to protect as much as possible as fenda extenders imo kind of make the lovely front mudguard look somehow wrong shape. The finish is WD40 and only lasts as long as a ride out, oh and I kind of like the smoke and smell of it burnin on start up

... Been weighin up prob spend more on wd than unleaded

Damn, that is one clean machine!
BTW, I routed my speedo cable like that once… not a good idea, eventually it managed to get close enough to brush the disc bolts. The manual shows it should go through the gap between the two caliper mounting points.

Thanks Fazerider for the heads up on the speedo cable routing.. Did seem the logical route to keep things as far outboard from the discs as poss but will check it

I like that cover the more I see it, looks way better being just plain instead of having fazer written on it.

Thanks for the replies.. Spoken to Derek today and looking like rad the cover will be a one off. Would struggle to produce for a price that wouldnt place it above some of the current available covers on the market.. Please feel free to copy the design tho if it appeals, as no patents are pending

For me it dosent have to be stainless steel, ~~aluminum~~ alli would be fine or even plain steel and I will paint, am I the only one that would prefer a black one I do think the S/S one stands out too much and lets face it the rad is not pretty is it.
If he is not going to do them can you publish the layout if you have one
