Clay it or use some iron x/ fallout remover. Should shift it.

a mixture of WD40 and Brake cleaner (not the combined brake/carb cleaner that you sometimes see and this will just melt the bellypan.

there's a whole world of paint knowledge and products out there so i would guess that if you don't know about it by now then you've little interest in spending a load of time learning about it. a great many products are not cheap either!

so given this i would strongly suggest investing in some gunk (or other engine cleaner), soaking a kitchen towel in it and leaving it to sit on your paint for a while. once it has soaked in to pretty much anything tar or insect based then remove the kitchen towel and work in some fresh gunk with a microfibre cloth until all proud road grime spots have come off.

once this is done then a general purpose cleaner/polisher/wax all in one product like mer or turtle wax worked in and buffed off with another microfibre will clean the paint and add a tiny bit of protection.

anything more than that will require a bit more investment on your part or a visit to a paint man.

I can suggest a few products for you no problems. can you post a couple of pics of what it is that you cant get rid of so we can give slightly better advice?

does it feel "rough" to run your hand over?

any clay should do you then, they sell meguiars stuff in halfords. Mild stuff should be adequate, just use plenty of lube (ooh errr).
