I think it helps if you're a little bit insane. I found it hard to concentrate just watching it, i kept looking for hazards.  :lol

I never tire of watching on board TT footage. Brave brave men and women. Its awe inspiring really. It just doesn't look possible.

darrsi - you dont need to look for hazards when your on a TT bike, as there is only one hazard. EVERYTHING :rollin

I can only imagine that it is done by knowing the circuit of by heart and then a leap of faith that the marshals have kept it clear and clean.

At those speeds there just isn't enough time to see and judge any approaching corners... you just have to know them before you get there and have damn good muscle memory after significant practice... at least imo

Average lap record 131.671mph, plus hitting 200mph in places, that's just totally impressive madness.  :eek

They say knowledge of the Nurburgring is worth 50bhp, I wonder how much knowledge of the TT course is worth? At these speeds I reckon nothing. Just the difference between finishing and crashing.
