I've always gone for Arai in the past, always top of the range ones too, robbin' bastids that they are!
I've been using a Reevi flip front for the last year or so, bloody brilliant bit of kit!
Lightweight, quiet, warm (even commuting from Lenzie to Bellshill in December) and the rear view system is splendid too.
I got my from Nooj, an exfoccer, but Bikes on Parade up in Dennistoun sell them too.
Just on Alexandra Parade on the opposite from the Royal, pretty much the first unit.
Tony is a good bloke, worked with him a couple of years back, sure he'd look after you if you popped in.

Keep in mind guys that if you've got a napper like Quassimodo  your gonna struggle, I expect you can get made to measure but they will be pricey :lol

I know I'm going to get ripped apart here but I went and spent 2hours trying on helmets without looking at prices and the one I picked shocked me. It fits perfect, (unlike many top brands)I got a tinted visor for 20 quid, the buckle is the best I've ever had on a helmet and it comes with a helmet bag as standard. It also has all the usual safety marks and isn't particularly heavy. Apart from the name I can't find a bad thing with it and I'm no snob so not really bothered.

Its a box scope which i got for 50 quid.

Before you call me a tight bastard I had a budget of 300 but chose the one that fit me the best .... now form an orderly queue to take the Piss.

If you only put a value of £50 on your life its fine.....
Im sure it will work but in helmets you pay for quality....
Maybe I was a bit generous with £499 for my shoei neotec borealis and £80 for a rainbow iridium visor :-)

I agree but at the time it was reduced from 100 and helmets are the same as everything else you can buy In life. Up to a certain price you get better quality then after that it's all about brand names and fashionable designs to try to go one better than the next person.

But if it dont fit right no amount of cash is going to make it any safer

No mention here about HJC, which is the only one (so far) that fits my head

That was my thinking fazersharp. The best fitting one is surely more effective than an expensive badly fitting one.

I wont buy a helmet that doesn't have a sharp rating of at least 4 no matter how good the brand is...

Can't see the issue with Wutang buying a £50 Box helmet. It's a 4 star Sharp tested helmet and on top of that it's the one that fits the best after 2hrs of trying on lids.

Better than someone who has an Arai shaped head buying a poorly fitting Shoei just because they like/want/must have the logo!!

One of my older helmets is a Lazer LS2....fitted great, 4 star rated, £80 odd, but leaked a bit.................just like the £400 Schuberth i took back........
