I've had mine done a while now and concur that it is one of the best mods to do for the FZS.

I had a go on brookers gen 1 with the r6 shock, it handled beautifully!  If I had a gen 1, it'd be my first mod!
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

Can't specifically comment on the difference; but I do love how planted mine feels with the R6 shock ^^

There's a sticky thread explaining what you need to get in the Fazer 1000 sub-forum :)

I can also vouch for the shock, I went out on mine yesterday did about 90miles and the bike sticks and is far more planted then my 600 ever was can't comment on the standard 1000 as mine came fitted from devilsyam cheers luke the suspension certainly works for me.

You can fit them to the 600 but it does require a bit of modifying as far as I am aware...

In my humble opinion 600's don't suffer from wallowing  to the same extent as the thou. certainly not at low mileage .
