Boring Oil Question
« on: 06 March 2014, 07:44:25 pm »
Hi All

Sorry for what is no doubt a common question, but as the weather is looking like drying up, i thought i'd give the old girl a service of sorts (the bike that is ;) ).

Has anyone any got any oil type recommendations? There's currently a batch of 10w-40 'Yamalube' in there but handbook info seems to lend itself towards 10w 30?

Much obliged!

I think basically almost everyone uses 10W40 motorbike specific oil.

Although i ran my bike on 10W30 last year & it was fine. (Mistaken purchase)

But ill be sticking 10W40 in this year.

Semi synthetic.
