Works fine, looks lovely, may be tempted to switch rides, as I have friends up that way and also went to Bruntingthorpe way back for a RIDE mag article. Just the mind numbing tyre squaring off bit there and back to overcome :rolleyes

This looks very plausible for me, it's a good route and there is a nice/nasty hairpin (for me anyhow) at http://goo.gl/8vyI2e  :-).  My favourite route is this one: https://goo.gl/maps/474jY

Hi Simon, on my route that stretch from Bourne to Market Harborough I have not done before but it does look good, so glad to hear your comments I m hoping to get the chance to do the route before hand.

if you turm south down the  6003 at Uppingham the views are pretty good, then turn back up the b672 and follow the signs to Morcott you will be on Deefers favourite roads where he used to scare the shit out of me lol

A week to go, what time is the planned meet at M1 jct 20?

Want to plan a route from Essex that does not spend all time on M25 and M1 travelling up and squaring off my tyres.

I am not to worried what time we set off as I live in the area, I have looked at the long term weather forecast and it is saying unsettled possibly very wet and cold. It would be nice to see a who are planning on coming now it is a week away.

If it's rain showers I'll come along, if they forecast crappiness then I shall leave it.
Be good to do though as I should have the Nitron rear shock and front forks rebuilt with new bushes and Ktech springs on Saturday!

I've booked the day off work for this one but as others have said, if its raining its a no go for me. Totally weather dependant. Sad, I know but I ride my bikes for pleasure and I get very little pleasure from riding in the pouring rain.

I have picked some nice twisty roads so if it Horrendous weather it will be a poor ride out, so should we do a roll call on Friday and see if it is still on?
