Just returned from a 120 mile round trip to Castlewood Cafe, near Uttoxeter, from Wrexham, on the XJ600. Very mild, 13 degrees. About a dozen bikers there when I arrived. Roads wet and muddy. Hose pipe ready to wash the bike, after a coffee.

Added some auxiliary lights to the CBF commuter. Feck me what a difference, it was like a parting of the waves. The picture doesn't really do them justice and all for £25 - one happy bunny :D . Also upgraded the headlight to Philips Extreme and LED side lights - although one side flickering  :'(

We had our 4th Latin and ballroom dance lesson tonight , we started to learn the rhythm foxtrot , which I picked up easily , unlike the cha cha  .

I got the lawn mower out and cut the grass, IN JANUARY, that's a first and I'm in Yorkshire.

Took a risk and bought an OEM cd/radio for the Mazda 6, for £30 incl postage as the CD lens head in mine was having a mind of its own, only realised when I unwrapped it the it was a 6 cd Bose unit which is fitted to the 2.3 MPS model. :)

 I stripped out the centre console (intergrated Radio) and then  I discovered the fittings and cable to the console were different, but  the  CD/radio cables were exactly the same. After a bit of serious thought and a bit of *&^"$%£ :wall realised I could probably remove the base and amp of the CD/radio unit and keep the original face. Nothing to lose as this stage I dismantled both and Bose one slotted into the original face like a glove. Whats more it works and loads and unloads and plays all 6 CDsand Radio, plus the display give all the information including which number CD is playing :)

Fixed the interior lights which have not worked for a few weeks, it was a dodgy switch connection.  :thumbup
Took me longer to figure out how to take out the light unit than it did to fix it :lol

Replaced the big and ugly original headlight by a repainted Hornet 900 unit:



And changed the TDM panniers from Yamaha to Krauser like I have it already on my Fazer and the NTV:

Finally took the plunge and spent nearly £700 on Rukka Gore Tex jacket & trousers, link below. Good quality feel and a 6yr warranty - got fed up of trying to re proof my gear and failing badly.
