Bought 2 new pistons for my suzuki X7, re-bore on monday, carbs ultra sonic cleaned yesterday waiting to be picked up all being well back in one bit next weekend   :thumbup

Thats the first set ive bought where the rings have been fitted, easy enough to do, takes seconds........piece of cake these 2 strokes   ;)

Took the tdr 250 out for a blast around herts, brilliant  fun,  not sure about the brakes though, think I'm spoilt with the blue spots!

Got the Husky out and took it for a spin for and hour, muddy bridle paths,lanes,puddles, like a big kid :D

Sure I've seen TDR's with blue spot calipers - thought they were a straight fit - find a TDR forum and ask - problem solved :-)

Washed my baby bike; the Serow, took it for a short spin to dry it off and heat it up, drained the oil, cleaned both oil filters, filled it with a 1 litre of  10W 40 Semi and treated it against the salt laden roads.  :) Back to work tomorrow :(

  Yes I think your right mil, you might need the master cylinder,  I've joined  the tdr forum, so will ask there, cheers

Picked up my suzuki X7 carbs from the ultra sonic cleaners........very good job, couldn't get them this clean at home   :)

I bet you can programme a VCR using the scanner/tv times :b






Unfazed......starting up your bike to warm the oil before draining it, i understand that bit.....but what's your opinion on starting up the bike with the old oil still in it???......because my bike is sorn for the winter i always like to drain the oil that has been sitting in the engine for months and not start the engine until there's fresh oil back in it as i thought the old stuff would be full of water or condensation and generally a bit crap..........ok it's the same oil that was in it when last switched off.....but just with added water maybe and been through some frost or whatever.


Am i being overly cautious then?

VCR  ?..........just bought myself one of those new fangled beta max jobbies....very high tech, state of the art, latest technologies thingy........ :lol
