Well, I did it again....

I fitted my new towbar to the back of the Peugeot!!

Took my trusty skoda pick up for a mot.....it passed, of course

......fitted new exhaust and rear brake pads to swmbo's car....that must have earnt me enough browine points to play with the lofo's tomorrow

Located and replaced intermittent door reed switch on house burglar alarm, replaced new logic chip in bell box and reprogrammed alarm.

Had my arm cast off on friday so cleaned both bikes and then blew the cobwebs out today.

Bit of sun and back on 2 wheels = happy bunny with soppy smile

I spent an exciting weekend clearing a space in the garage for my pending new arrival. It took all weekend but I can now fit 2 motorbikes, a caravan, a 4x4 and all my other junk in. I really need to dump a lot of stuff, maybe another day.

Took the cage in to get it's little problem looked at. Often no speedo, now coupled with cutting out at low speed, usually when just turning in to a junction. Starts again immediately, but lose the power steering when it does it - this has made for one or two "interesting" moments! Now have to be ready to catch it, ignition off and quickly restart; loads of fun! Diagnostics show that it's missing speedo and odo info, sounds like it's all connected. Can we just go back to carbs and cables please?!!

Booked in for proper investigation next Weds, hope it doesn't get too pricey, as it'll eat into July's Euro tour money

Hi Nick,

On some cars the fast idle( when slowing down) relies on the speedo, so if the speedo doesn't work the car will cut out at low speeds ( less than 5 mph) .

Yep, cheers Mark, that's what the garage are saying, so hopefully no worse than a change of speedo sensor might do the trick. We'll see after they've had a better look.

Ahh both wrong, z400 with a z550 engine. chain drive to a modified BMW E36 diff you can just about see it in the piccie of the shocks

And after about 7 hours of associated jiggery, skinned knuckles, and the rest:

Getting her roadworthy ASAP, will get the wheels powdercoated black to match the bike, and then I'm going to ride her whilst I collect the parts I need to fit a ZZR1400 front end and ZX10R braced rear

Got dragged around a superstore by my wife and 2 giggly teenage girls looking for carnival outfits.
I disappeared to the tool section while they did their giggling and grabbed a few bargains.
Then it was off to Aldi to buy up all their black spray paint for €2.99 a spray can

Gonna rustle up some chilli con carne and settle down with a bottle of Irish cream and a movie or two
