Samsung laptop help required
« on: 12 December 2011, 08:22:24 pm »
A friend of ours has just been given a Samsung P29 laptop, and she is having a few problems trying to get it to connect to the internet via the wireless router. She has connected other laptops, so has a reasonable amount of knowledge of setting up wireless connections, but she is really struggling with this one. She (and her laptop) are 25 miles away from where I live, so I haven't seen it or been able to help her, just wondering if any Foccers have any experience of this particular laptop and could point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance  ;)

Thanks for your reply, after much Googling I've found out that on the P29, you use the Fn & F9 buttons to switch the Wireless connectivity on / off. We've just called her to let her know, hopefully she'll sort it now.

Well if its not that, there may be an on/off switch for wireless on the casing somewhere???? :'(
I used to not give a foc, then I discovered Red Bull and now I don't give a flying foc !!!

or a "soft" button above the keyboard - MrsRichfzs's HP lappy has a light showing whether wifi is turned on or not - and its actually a button too, which is quite easy to hit without realising you've done it; its caused her hassle a few times :lol
