Do we have any members? could be a good travel aid.  I was in contact with someone experienced in couch surfing and he could only praise it

fred west. shipman, etc etc. that's what I got locks for to keep strangers out, everyone to there own good luck. :eek

LOL  fair point  but the way I understand it each member is rated by other members experiences with them and conditioned to accept your rules before they arrive.  Rules including, when they arrive and leave,  acceptable times for returning home at night etc. the rules are discussed  prior to agreed arrival. I also believe the surfer must provide details of their next destination. 
 It's a bit like ebay, everyone is after positive feedback in order to continue travelling.


At end of the day it's probably safer than pitching a tent randomly at side of road.  even parking a motorhome if in the states :)
