Ow Do. Hi folks,65 yr old rocker road race marshall (just back from Moto GP Silverstone September), just got me a 1998 fzs 600. Traded my VFR800Fi1 2002 for it as now, swimbo says i'm too knackered for a bum up position!!!!!! Previous must have put shorter d/b's on and a piece of wood on the side stand to raise it at the rear. will put it back to standard and drop the triples down (as on the VFR) as I am a s/ar#e no centre stand so will maybe be looking for one. Ordered the d/bones so on the go.
All in all a better riding position so well pleased as for its age in superb condition (so far).
Looking forward to good input from here as much as from the VFR site.
Barrie

Greetings Barrie, and welcome to the foc-ers! !
So glad you traded up from the H##d@ to a boxeye, far more interesting bike than the square v4.
There's some awesome info in here, knowledgeable gurus, and were even friendlier than a group of hug happy hippies! ::)
You'll love it, but we gotta see some pictures of your new baby. :D
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

Having no centre stand is a big give away that it's been lowered so you're probably 99% correct

Welcome to the mad house

We'll probably come from Weeton, and down shard road across the bridge. We could pick you up at Singleton service station for a blast over wyre.

Savvy, welcome you experienced swine. That bike is an absolute beauty and very similar to my own. What a work of engineering beauty it is. Where did you get the belly cover or was it on it?

Thanks for the comments. I cannot take the credit for the work as that is how I bought it. I will look for the make of belly pan and post it up for you.

bellypan and hugger are both Pyramid units if that helps.
