The things we do for our bikes...
« on: 28 September 2013, 10:41:38 am »
The only thing I didn't like about me cb fairing was the fittings..so went through me boxs of bits, found some stainless security machine screws, a few black anodised zx9r fairing washers and couple of old fire blade ones, polished the arse out of them with some wet and dries, sorted some wiring and relays out for me heated gear, and two whole evenings later it's ready for the weekend run to the coast...

It looks really good. Old school, with all the mod cons. I like it  ;)

Rather nice, are you going to get the belly pan painted to match the rest of the bike?

I am a big fan of those bikes (looks wise anyway, can't comment on the ride)

Nope, gonna leave the paint as is now mate. It looks the biz and gives an old feller like me a nice retro kick, but it's strictly for two up riding and me hols, the fz1 is far better in every other respect. Saying that, it carries it's weight well, is the best pillion bike I've had since my gs thou back in the early eighties, and is surprisingly nimble yet planted on the move. I wouldn't buy a new one, but secondhand they are good value, build quality is astonishing ( mines done over 20k and cleans up like new), and there solid bikes
