Luggage rack Mk1 V Mk2
« on: 05 April 2013, 11:50:14 pm »
Ive been offered a luggage rack for the fazer, the one in question is for a 2001-2003 model, my bike is Mk1 1999, Ive read somewhere that the only difference is the footpegs and  I will need to swap these for a 2001 set ??  that should be easy enought to organise, I cant find that information again now, does anyone know if this is true ???

Yeah, the pillion pegs are lower from 2000 on (so use longer hangers, if that makes sense?)

2000
. Pillion comfort improved: Rear pegs lowered 45mm & moved forward 10mm and pillion seat padding increased by 16mm.. Pillion pegs redesigned to remove 'barb' from handhold/luggage-retention projection and the 'eyelet' hole is reduced in size. Pillion pegs are now rubber coated also.

So are the pegs a direct swap, i.e same mounting points used ?
