Finding Neutral
« on: 19 October 2014, 02:20:26 pm »
Hi Guys / Gals, during a chain and sprocket change, ive taken the front sprocket cover off get at the sprocket and in doing so had to take off the gear linkage lever. i tried to score it so finding the correct position when reassembling it wouldnt be an issue but i didnt do it very well. tried to find the correct position and its no longer in neutral and i cant find neutral when trying to come through the gears. has anybody had this before and what did you do!!

thanks in Advance!

Ive sorted it. the sprocket had turned slightly so i just put it back to its original position and it poped back into neutral. hope this will help any other numpties like me :)

if you clean the crud off, there is a dot punched into the end of the gear shaft. Use that to align the selector mechanism.
