That's what I can see on the bike.

I was going to but I was in too much pain that first night.
Apparently a woman came a off her bike later evening too.
I'm feeling better now, just very sore. Fracture clinic today at 1:40 so hopefully I'll get to know how long it'll take to heal. My guess is 6 weeks minimum.
Thanks for all the concern :)

FZS600 Fazer / Had an off:(
« on: 16 October 2016, 10:44:59 am »
Thursday evening, jumped on bike and left work, went he same way home I always do, pulling up to a slight hill and let a car out of a petrol station on the right, went to set off and the back when span up, grabbed and chucked me off, threw me up and I landed on my shoulder breaking my collar bone! Further inspection afterwards proved to be diesel on the road

Great. Going to do the oil over the weekend so I'll see how that goes and chuck some washers in if its not enough!

Ahh just to give a bit of preload? That's a good idea!

I've drilled and tapped the swing arm. Two m6 bolts. A 8.8 6mm has about 1.6 shear capacity so a fazer isn't going to shear two m6 bolts.

Quickly turned some out of aluminium and gave them a quick polish.

I've got a 1999 fazer 600, want to put some bobbins on for the paddock stands I've just got. Anyone put them on? Is there a certain place to pu them on the swing arm or is it just a case of drill and tap?

I can make my own I just want to clarify where to put them :)?

I made an alloy gear change rod.

Only small bits.

Whilst on the subject is there much I can do to stiffen the front forks up a bit? Heavier oil? Any after market springs?

I was told on the Facebook group that an r6 shock fits straight in on the 1000. Any shocks that just drop into the 600?

Hi all.
Has anyone put different foot pegs on their fazer?
I'm after some solid ones that don't have rubber on them.

Cheers!

I know it's a car thread but the principles are the same.
Worth trying them.

I've thought about that but don't want it to look daft

I've fitted an R1 rear blue spot, had to use the fzs and the R1 brackets and tig them together. It works, but it's quite involved if you haven't got the facilities.

Is it back firing just on tickover? Mine back fires if I've been giving it some beans then roll the throttle off

The plug end.
Probably shouldn't have but I pulled the rubber boot back on the switch and sprayed some in there as well.

It's worth paying that bit more and getting stainless headers if you can stretch to them.

Does it Rev out ok? Might be mucky jets?
I had a nightmare trying to get the carbs back in and the throttle cable reconnected. I was ready for binning it!

Has anyone ever tried fitting a different tank to the 600? I want a more of a sport riding position with clip ons, which I've got, but I've read that they foul the tank.

Had a look at the rental ultra lows but doesn't particularly look much different?

I had this problem, it turned out to be a crud on the contacts.
A clean out with contact cleaner and it's not happened since.
