PieEater, are you saying that wezmoto are going to be the same standard as HEL but with different labels?

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / HEL brake lines« on: 06 October 2015, 08:59:31 pm »
I emailed HEL about brake lines for my 2009 FZ1 S and they replied that they only had 2006-2008 models on their database- is there any difference??
They did say that I could send the old lines to them and they would send them back by return of post but that would leave me without transport. Rob 130

Machine Mart do a nifty butane soldering kit ( Clarke CBT5K) - well worth a look if you've a local branch.

General / Re: Has anyone got some coil spring compressors that I could borrow« on: 03 September 2015, 09:16:37 pm »
Ratchet straps & lots of patience will do it. I noticed my local branch of Quickfit has a spring compressor for coil over do dahs, so it might be worth checking.

I love this product.
Hein Gericke used to sell the stuff. I bought 6 tubes in their closing down sale, I think they were half price, and am now down to my last one. I'll have to investigate Infinity M/Cs. Rob 136
General / Re: Isle of man Classic, Things to see?« on: 22 August 2015, 09:59:13 pm »If you get a chance pop into Bride for a TT afternoon tea. The new transport museum in Jurby is expensive but the Bus museum across the road if free and worth a visit and while your in Jurby don't forget Jurby Junk! I can recommend the narrow gauge steam railway from Douglas to Port St. Mary. Peel has a good museum, pubs, a castle and the last Manx kipper smokery. Enjoy yourself. Rob 137

I've a standard screen so it's a choice between Acerbis and Barkbuster. Rob 138

Hi all, newbie here.
Anyone know if the acerbis dual road handguards will fit a 2009 FZ1 S? If not can anyone recommend an alternative? Cheers Rob 139
General / Re: Centre stands....for better or worse.« on: 11 August 2015, 09:41:44 pm »
Worst centre stand design in the whole wide world is on my 1958 Velocette- although the bike only weighs about 150lbs you have to lift most of its weight to roll the stand underneath it.

If you lower the ride height don't forget that you may have to shorten the prop stand to suit.

Introduction / Hi from Walsall« on: 16 July 2015, 10:47:41 pm »
Had a Fazer 600 ages ago, went through the sportsbike phase, and have a Triumph Street Triple and Velocette 350 at the moment. I'm hoping to pick up a FZ1 next week.
Looking forward to tapping into the expertise on the forum. Rob |
