HEL brake lines
« on: 06 October 2015, 08:59:31 pm »
I emailed HEL about brake lines for my 2009 FZ1 S and they replied that they only had 2006-2008 models on their database- is there any difference??
They did say that I could send the old lines to them and they would send them back by return of post but that would leave me without transport.

Brake lines for FZ1S should be the same through 2006 to present time. Just buy the Hel lines and if they don't fit send them back.

Yes they should be fine. I got mine from Wemoto. They were advertised as being for a 2010 model and mine is a 2008 but there was no difference.

Cheers slappy & Grayo
You're right- I've just checked Fowlers online parts fiche and they quote the same part nos. for all years ( 2006-2012 ) for  the hoses.

Don't forget that if you are looking at the Hel website then you can get a 25% discount by mentioning the Fazer forums.  Racelines UK is their discount outlet which has this discount already applied. Wezmoto on Ebay use the Hel workshop and parts to build their lines so you are effectively getting the same lines cheaper still.

PieEater, are you saying that wezmoto are going to be the same standard as HEL but with different labels?

Yep if you check out Wezmoto's website they say that they use an identical manufacturing process to the UK's leading manufacturer. Which is true as they use the same factory and parts, they also have the same lifetime warranty.

My mate found this out when he went to the Hel factory and Wez was there making up his orders.
