Drosselklappensensor! What a fantastic word! Drossel- throttle, klappen- work, sensor- sensor! Gotta love the German language, they make compound words just by adding them together. My favourite is handschuhe which is hand and shoe together which means glove, makes perfect sense to me. Anyway, good call darrsi, a much better solution to buying a dodgy unit from a bike breakers

Sitting at 5000 is just one test to check it. Twisting the throttle slowly until fully open and it should go to 10000 and stay there. If it does it usually means it is working correctly. A dodgy one could go to 0, 5000 or 10000 or alternate between the numbers when you twist the throttle slowly all the way to full. Would be interesting to see what your one does Darrsi.
