Jack up kits any good?
« on: 29 December 2011, 06:53:42 pm »
I'm currently rebuilding the bike after the accident and was thinking of fitting a 25mm jack up kit.  I've heard they improve thr cornering.  Does anyone have any experiance of them?  There are a few different ones on ebay at either £16 or £40odd again is it worth the extra cash.
Also would anyone have a picture of them fitted to a 02/03 fazer so that I could see what sort of difference they make.

Just fitted one to mine(25mm),haven't ridden it yet,but definitely notice height difference when you sit on the bike.

Bear in mind you'll effectively make your rear spring softer (not really you're changing the linkage ratio but anyway...) and it'll want to lean over further on the sidestand. Get the projection components one they give you 4 options i settled on +10 before i got a new shock.

I may be wrong here but the link you've posted is for a lowering kit, not a jack up kit.

Doubt you'll find that info, I've tried before in the past.

Another link here though.
