Just to update this thread... that there's no update
The bike's at my Mum's house and I only had a certain amount of time to dedicate to this. I've been back but there wasn't a moment to spare.
When I'm next there I'll have a go with the easy start - well I got some so I may as well (thanks robbo
)
In the past I've balanced the carbs several times. Once it's been stripped to that level is it easy to 'drain the carbs off' and look at and clean or replace the pilot jets? Or am I only half-way there at that point?
One other point to mention, when I turned the key it clicked for a while - to be expected of course. But when I next turned the key it did the same. From memory it didn't get to the point where I'd turn the key and it just clicked once or twice. Problem? Clue?
