undoing headlight mod on boxeye
« on: 15 September 2015, 02:28:48 pm »
Well sort of
The previous owner has done some sort of mod, doesn't appear to be the same as the one on here and I want to remove some of the wiring as I'm having single headlight only.

present wiring

Black/blue and black. to one light connector

black/white, black and green to second connector (this maybe a pre wired aftermarket connector)

The top pin of the three is connected to the green wire coming from the left side handlebar switch block.

Is this correct and if so is this the connector that will give me low and high beam on a single headlight
Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

Oh and I recon the previous owner was sponsored by electrical tape.com Its everywhere, tbh the mod is obvious now, just had to remove three hundred miles of tape to see what was happening  :o :o :o

Thanks
I've stripped down the loom for the light, indicators and gauges removing unness wires running a seperate set of wires for the headlight etc. To bloody untidy without the fairing in place.
May shorten the loom to the clocks when I get them mounted
Now waiting for the managers at work to leave so I can go shopping for some wire etc  :D
