Ok this is true, it was easier than the full explanation of "I'm a fat bastard and trying to loose weight so eating salady things as a snack instead of everything else that is apparently fully of calories" - its a stop gap measure until I start keto again after Christmas :P

I am not hijacking anything! :P

I'm in the same boat. So like me, you're not a fat bastard trying to lose weight, you're a biker trying to gain free horsepower.  ;)

What's keto deadeye????.....is it Ketogenic diet???......seen that mentioned regards my wifes Epilepsy as a way of stabilising it but have you heard any other benefits?...extra bhp is a benefit right enough...might look it up again but got a feeling it's hard work to implement.

Yup, ketogenic diet - lost 5 stone last year on it across 6 months but need to get a bit more off ;)

There are plenty of health benefits, several I can testify to - I felt more energetic and less tired / lethargic plus its easier to think and concentrate for extended periods. The downside is that you have to go through "keto flu" first (about a week) whilst your body adapts and you generally feel the opposite :\

Lots of information here; http://www.reddit.com/r/keto and much more on the web.

Anyways, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me so that I don't resurrect my Pirate career with another hijacking ;) :hijack

Took her up to Greenwich Park and cleaned and polished her before doing a two hour ride around SE London until my fingers started to get numb in what were described as 'thermal waterproof  gloves.' No doubt when they get wet they'll turn out to not be waterproof, either.

just recieved my double bubble screen from M&P in swansea and they've forgotton to put the yoke protector in with it that i ordered and have been billed for!! another bloody phone call to make tomorrow

I had another large company from Stoke on Trent do that to me twice on consecutive orders. Took several calls to get refunded. So don't give up.

I'm sure they work on the laws of probability.

Gave the bike a very thorough wash and scrub, polished the paintwork and went to get some Scottoil FS365. They didn't have any in my local place, but for the first time ever, I found ACF-50 on the shelf so thought I'd give it a spin (very expensive stuff - £15.99 for a can, is that a lot more than others have been paying?). Disappointed in that the spray doesn't atomise very well from the can, but used a cloth soaked in the stuff, so shouldn't work out too dear that way. So she's all clean and protected for now, but as I like to wash off road dirt before too much accumulates, I guess it won't be long before she needs doing again  :\
Although having said that, I usually only use clean, cold water from the garden hose to wash her down, warm water with a rag to finish, and then polish on the paint. So maybe the coating will last a while.

FiXed the permanent 12v clock feed. Turns out it was cut (looks deliberate) along with a black wire, under the left side cover. Wonder if it fed an alarm previously.

Also straightened the front subframe!

Another fun ride along the A44 - just popped along to Crossgates café and back. Started with the Charlbury TT, taking it nice and easy as there was a lot of farm muck about, still some patches of frost here and there. There's something inordinately satisfying about riding smoothly and carefully yet still managing to get a good pace on. One of those days when I just seemed to spot all the hazards in plenty of time to take avoiding action without upsetting the pace. And hazards there were! Who needs a shotgun for pheasants slimwilly?! You could have scraped several up off the road today on my route, including having to duck (duck a pheasant? Or pheasant a duck?  :lol ) one low flying fella, dodging another that had clearly just been clipped by a car - spinning around on it's back in the middle of the lane. Oh, and a huge pile of manure slap-bang in the middle of the road at one point! About 250 miles all in.  :)

Went out for a spin myself today - covered about 60 miles in total. A bit too chilly to go out for a decent duration especially since I don't have any proper thermal gear. Was beginning to shiver from the cold which isn't helpful when you need your balance :P Still, was a good ride and I enjoyed it ^^

Chopped about some cheap eBay hand guards in an effort to maintain feeling in my fingers for another week of 70 mile commutes. They are not pretty, but they mostly work!
