Nothing Exupnut does could ever surprise me
...unless he ever actually rides the
Today not quite as good as yesterday, but had it's highlights.
First off, Launceston castle:
Then up to the north coast, cuppa stop at Boscastle:
Not as picturesque as I remember it, must have been thinking of somewhere else. And that kind of set the scene for the day. Went on to Tintagel, but when I got there I just couldn't be bothered. Too early for a pasty, couldn't be arsed to walk out to the castle, so just cracked on.
One of the day's highlights was riding the coast road from St. Ives to Land's End. Wild Cornwall (almost) at it's best. But you can't beat walking the coast path between the busy places, where you see almost no one all day.
On that road, typical relic of tin mining days:
Then arrived at Land's End. First thing I did was to walk along the cliff top path away from the crowds:
Then back to the busy bit for the de rigour photo:
The A394 from there to Penzance was another good bit - had to watch out for strong gusts of wind on exposed bits though. Then blasted back to the B&B near Callington along the A390, via Helston, Truro, St. Austell, Liskeard etc. Some good bits on that road here and there too.
Don't know what to do tomorrow - last day here. Don't want to just wind up at all the tourist traps again, just want some good scenery and roads to ride. Might explore the Tamar valley.
